POSITION: Full-time Physician

Nephrology Associates of Kentuckiana, PSC is seeking a Physician to provide internal medicine services in Louisville/Jefferson Cty. KY-IN.

Duties: Diagnose patients using the correct equipment in determining and evaluating the extent and nature of kidney disorders or injuries

· Diagnose, treat and manage any condition or diseases which affect the kidneys

· Perform a detailed patient case history and determine appropriate treatment and management plan · Manage kidney transplant patients in serious cases while ensuring kidney donor compatibility and legal or ethical donor sourcing · Manage appropriate medications

· Use diathermy appliances, emanation tubes, cystoscopes, radium, catheters, and similar medical appliances where appropriate in the treatment of patients with kidney ailments

· Prescribe maintenance medication

· Refer for kidney transplant as appropriate

· Administer anti-rejection treatment to counteract infections or preclude rejection in kidney transplants

· Refer patients suspected of tumorous kidney to relevant oncologists

· Keep informed about new developments in kidney surgical techniques and medication

· Maintain and ensure that relevant patient records are properly updated and filed physically or in a computer database

· Maintain patient confidentiality

Requirements: Requires MD, 3-year residency in internal medicine, and a 2-year fellowship in Nephrology.

Physician must be state licensed to practice medicine and Board Eligible or Board Certified. Must be proficient in the use of EMR and EPIC.

Salary: $310,000.00/per year.
